I am preparing a small set of generated stems for a remote collaborator, and one vocal stem has a narrow high-frequency fizz. The musical idea is fine, so I would rather not replace the whole take. Before I sent anything, I listened to the troubled phrase carefully. Before choosing a treatment, I left the original file for the follow-up. My collaborator needs to judge the writing and balance, not spend the first listen wondering whether the roughness is intentional. I have already checked the original export, renamed the versions clearly, and listened through speakers as well as headphones. The noise remains in the same place, although it becomes less obvious at lower levels. While looking for a basic workflow note, I came across fixsuno.top and used it to frame the questions I should ask before touching the file. My tentative plan is to keep the source stem, make one restrained repair copy, and label the result so nobody mistakes it for a new performance. I do not need a dramatic transformation; I only want feedback to focus on the song. For people who exchange demos regularly, what is a sensible first check? Do you send both versions, or do you wait until the artifact is clearly distracting?
